Healthy Eating workshops 

Our Reading Clubs in Easton and Barton Hill help primary school children from low-income families whose parents don’t speak English or can’t read with them. Volunteers support children to improve reading skills, build confidence, and enjoy books in a friendly and supportive environment.

**About Home 2 School Link**

Home 2 School Link is a community-focused organisation committed to improving educational engagement for minority families in Bristol. We know that parents can sometimes feel distanced from their children’s school life due to language barriers or unfamiliarity with the school system. Our goal is to bridge this gap by offering support that helps families feel confident and involved in their children’s education.

We run workshops to guide parents through key parts of the school curriculum, explain school policies, and provide resources on how to stay actively involved. A key initiative is the Somali Mothers Forum, which has quickly grown into a supportive community where mothers connect, learn, and share experiences about school-related topics.

Through partnerships with local schools, assemblies that celebrate cultural heritage, and community events, Home 2 School Link works to build strong, inclusive connections between families and schools. We believe that a united home-school partnership empowers students to succeed and fosters a more inclusive, understanding school environment.
